Hampton Inn Rocky Mount

We stayed on our way to Florida with our dog. The room was comfortable. But the real shining stars were evening and morning staffers Tamika and India. What a pleasure it was to meet and talk to them!

Staff was very friendly and nice! They are currently doing renovations in the hotel so it's being updated. Even with the old decor The place is very clean and I would definitely recommend staying there again!

I checked in on 1/2/26 around 5:00 pm and checked out 1/4/26. Every time I had to interact with the front desk; the ladies were so very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was ok. We were too busy to actually eat it in its entirely because we had to leave in a hurry for a tournament. The room - 2nd floor - it didn't smell like mold. The room was ok. It was dated. Hopefully, the rooms will be the first thing they do.

The hotel is in the midst of renovations. The staff was great. Everyone was very helpful. I will be back.

A few small negatives. The hotel is very close to the highway so it feels like the entire building is shaking when large vehicles pass by. It also seemed kind of loud in the hallways. Also at times you can hear showers running in other rooms, toilets flushing, and heaters going on and off in surrounding rooms. Good things though would be the quickness of the hotel staff from check-in, getting up to the room and inside. I brought ear phones so once those were in place I barely noticed the other noises described above. It's a smallish room but it still has everything you need including a wet bar station with sink, microwave, and refrigerator. The bed and 4 pillows was absolutely divine! I've never slept so well in a hotel and I was very appreciative of this place! I would stay again and expect the same great experience!

Vivian at the front desk deserves accolades. She assisted us during this busy time. Rooms were mostly all taken but she took the time to find one. And meeting her in person the next day was a treat. I hope corporate treats Vivian well. She is an asset to the Hampton-Hilton family.

I had a great experience at this Hampton. Stayed in a newly renovated room that was clean, modern and quiet. All the staff was kind and helpful. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Rocky Mount, NC in December 2025 due to a very difficult family situation, and I cannot fully express how grateful we are for the kindness and compassion we received during our extended stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to support our family during an incredibly challenging time. They made sure we were able to stay together by arranging adjoining rooms, which brought us so much comfort. One thing that meant so much to us was that the hotel is pet-friendly. Being able to bring our little one with us provided comfort and greatly reduced our stress during such an emotional period. That kindness alone made a huge difference for our family. Every interaction we had from management to housekeeping and the janitorial staff was filled with genuine care, patience, and understanding. The breakfast each morning was great and appreciated more than words can say. While the rooms did not include a kitchen or kitchenette, and there were a few moments of sleep disruption due to ongoing renovations, these were small inconveniences compared to the warmth and hospitality we experienced. Once renovations are complete, this hotel will be even more beautiful. We have stayed at other hotels in the Rocky Mount area, but none compared to the level of care, compassion, and hospitality shown to our family here. We will always remember the kindness we received, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Rocky Mount and appreciate kind service.
